Oil Pulling

A great way to support your oral microbiome.

An ayurvedic principal performed first thing each morning upon rising, after you tongue scrape (to remove toxins & help with detoxification).


1.      Place a heaped teaspoon of quality coconut oil in your mouth, leave it there for ideally 15 minutes (do your breakfast preparation or shower if time poor), you need to be swishing it around, in between your teeth & then spit it out into a tissue/bin (full of toxins that have built up while sleeping).

2.      Gently clean your teeth (ideally a separate toothbrush for this purpose).

3.      Then have 2 glasses of room temperature water & go about your morning routine.


Coconut oil has anti-microbial & anti-bacterial properties that can assist with keeping your oral microbiome in good condition.


This is a lovely practice once you adjust & may save you some time in the dental chair.
