My Specialisations

Updated: Dec 28, 2021

As a Naturopath I treat the whole person on all levels; mind, body & spirit.

I do however have a few particular areas of interest that I am passionate about.

Skin

I am super passionate about the skin and associated symptoms & conditions. The skin is a direct reflection on what is happening on the inside (being the largest organ). I have

experienced severe skin conditions myself & love to guide clients with my own personal

knowledge as well.

PCOS

I see many ladies struggling with this condition and love to offer an alternative (or add on)

to medications, by empowering these clients with the very deep connection this condition

has to diet, lifestyle & certain body systems.

Thyroid

This very important butterfly shaped gland has receptor cells all throughout the body, it may

be tiny in size but is responsible for and impacts so many functions in the body. I see many

clients (especially females) struggling with symptoms & conditions that are thyroid related,

in which the client has made no connection to the thyroid or has been placed on medication

and is still dealing with debilitating symptoms.

Stress

Underpins many health conditions and can be a big part of keeping a person in fight or flight

(sympathetic nervous system dominance). When a client understands the links and possible

triggers that may be feeding into this, healing can begin as the nervous system starts to be

nourished with herbs, nutrients, diet & lifestyle changes.

Gut Health

As a naturopath I love the Gut and how it is intimately linked to other systems and is often

regarded as the “second brain” (or is it the first Brain?). An initial consult often involves

getting very intimate with this part of the anatomy. It is vital in understanding how

digestion works and the links with associated symptoms of bloating, indigestion, reflux,

incomplete bowel movements, abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhoea and many

more.

Sleep

Sleep is often very under rated and something many clients sacrifice in our current

“busyness”. Without quality, restorative sleep the body cannot heal and regenerate at a

deeper level, this then feeds into a multitude of symptoms and often increased levels of

stress and imbalance is seen in the body.
